Question.
Answer.
Having the unique opportunity to be an intimate part of a couple's wedding day is a gift and honor like none other. The reward of capturing a wedding event comes when I reveal the wedding photography to the newly wed couple for the first time. This emotional investment in "real-life" and their "new-life" together is why I photograph weddings. I also enjoy the high-paced, creativity in real time.
Weddings, unlike any other form of photography I document demands total excellence from not only a photographic standpoint, but also from a personal communication standpoint. I love this challenge and sincerely enjoy meeting new and intriguing people from around this nation and world. Traveling to new destinations and capturing people in their natural state during one of the most important days in their life. Who could ask for anything more?

Question.
Answer?
Minimally invasive, relaxed, fun, but at all times, professional. My goal during the wedding day is to allow the bride and groom to be at ease with the photographic events of the day. A constant effort is made at all times to not upstage the main event, that being the bride and groom. I consider myself 50% art director and 50% photographer. Throughout the wedding day I will be creating and directing moments as well as documenting candid moments as they happen. Always looking, always thinking, always creating, this is the my wedding photography approach. Be sure to review my wedding reviews, see what stood out in the bride and grooms mind, then watch the slideshow to see for yourself.

Question.
Answer?
1) I am not just a wedding photographer. I have photographed for editors and art directors in the magazine and book publishing industries and business clients in the advertising world. This photographic diversity allows me to see and document weddings through an unconventional lens. I was an art director and graphic designer prior to being a photographer, so working hand in hand with clients is second nature. Communicating my vision for a photograph to the bride and groom is a natural expression of my wedding photography style.
2) The pursuit of absolute excellence. Just because something worked in a previous wedding event I will not "copy" and "paste" my photographic style. Each wedding couple is unique, and the creation of each wedding photography artwork will follow suit. I purposefully limited the number of weddings I photograph each year with the objective of appreciating and eagerly anticipating each and every event.
3) WPJA Member Photographer. This prestigious professional organization is composed of photojournalists and wedding photographers from around the world. Members of WPJA are set apart in the industry with their candid, documentary approach—a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography.

Question.
Answer?
All photographs are captured in color and through the editing power of your personal online wedding website, you have full creative control to convert pictures to B&W or Sepia. There are photos that speak to me as an artist that need to be converted to B&W from an aesthetic value, these pictures I automatically adjust and convert while I develop the digital negatives.

Question?
Answer.
Yes. Family photos are an important historical aspect of a wedding day. Considering I have a infant son now, you can guarantee when his wedding day comes I will be requesting one photo of him and I together. It's that important. But let me bring you back to the word unconventional. My approach to family photography is relaxed, efficient and especially not rigid. My artistic vision is to capture these images in a way that is casual but professional allowing the bride and groom, wedding party, and families to be at ease and have fun. Stress free, lots of laughs, good times.

Question?
Answer.
My preference is a phone call. The first priority is availability. As we photograph a limited number of weddings per calendar year our schedule does book in advance. During our initial phone conversation I will be quite inquisitive regarding yourself and your unique wedding plans and concerns. These details and information are essential ingredients in understanding how to best artistically document your wedding story. From there I will request to meet in person (providing we are geographically located within driving distance) at our studio to learn more about each other. The final step will be the submission and review of the wedding photography contract and the down payment to save the date.
